The North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM lets you choose a daily high-speed data allowance and a plan duration that fits your trip. The listed daily options are 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB. Your selected high-speed allowance applies during each daily usage period, which resets every 24 hours. Once you have used that allowance, the plan continues with unlimited data at reduced 2G speeds until the next reset. This means the plan can keep you connected even after you have consumed the day’s high-speed data, although some online activities may take longer. Check the selected allowance carefully when ordering so it matches your expected daily use.
Once you pass your chosen daily high-speed amount, your speed slows to 2G until the 24-hour cycle resets. Basic messaging and email generally keep working, but maps, video, and big downloads become slow. That matters in a country where many people get around by train, tram, and bike, since live route planning needs a steadier connection. A larger daily tier, such as 3GB or 10GB, helps if you navigate constantly or upload a lot of content. Lighter users can often stay within 500MB or 1GB, especially if they use hotel and cafe Wi-Fi for streaming. When the reset hits, full-speed data returns automatically, and you do not need to do anything to restore it.
The North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM is available for 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, or 30 days. This gives you options for a short visit, a longer holiday, or an extended stay. You can choose the duration separately from the daily high-speed data allowance, allowing you to consider both how long you will be traveling and how much data you expect to use each day. Before purchasing, compare the plan duration with your itinerary and check the activation instructions so you understand when the usage period begins. The product page also lists a 180-day pre-activation window, allowing you to purchase the eSIM well before your planned arrival.
No. eSIMnow lists top-ups as unavailable for the North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM. You should therefore choose your daily high-speed allowance and the number of days carefully when purchasing the plan. Available daily allowances are 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 3GB, while durations range from 1 to 30 days. After you use the daily high-speed allowance, the plan continues with unlimited data at 2G speeds until the allowance resets, but this is not the same as adding extra high-speed data. If you expect heavier usage on certain days, consider selecting a higher daily tier before checkout. Review the package options on the product page to make the best choice for your itinerary.
The North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM is a data-only plan and does not include traditional cellular calls or SMS messaging. You can still communicate through internet-based apps that use mobile data, including services that offer voice calls, video calls, and messaging. These services require an internet connection and may require the person you are contacting to use the same app or a compatible service. If you need a local phone number or must receive standard text messages, check whether your existing SIM can remain active for those functions. The eSIMnow plan is intended to provide mobile internet access in North Macedonia, so review your phone’s SIM settings before traveling.
The North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM lists Telekom.mk 5G and vip 4G as its supported local networks. These are the networks specified for the plan’s coverage in North Macedonia. The connection your phone receives can vary depending on your location, local coverage, device compatibility, and network conditions at the time. Although 5G is listed for Telekom.mk, a 5G connection is not guaranteed everywhere, and your device may use a different available network technology when necessary. The product is country-specific, so do not assume the same package will provide coverage in nearby countries. If your itinerary includes border crossings, check the coverage details for each destination before relying on this eSIM.
eSIMnow advertises the North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM as a prepaid plan with no hidden roaming charges within its supported coverage. You choose the plan and pay for it in advance, rather than relying on your regular carrier’s international data-roaming service. This can make travel data costs easier to anticipate while you are in North Macedonia. To avoid accidentally using your usual carrier’s data allowance, select the eSIM as your mobile data line and review the roaming settings for your physical SIM. Charges from your existing carrier may still apply to services you use through that line, depending on your contract and settings. Check those terms separately before traveling.
Yes. Tethering and hotspotting are listed as supported features of the North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM. You can use a compatible phone to share its mobile data connection with another device, such as a laptop or tablet, when you need internet access away from Wi-Fi. Enable the hotspot feature in your phone’s settings and connect your other device as usual. Remember that hotspot traffic uses the plan’s data allowance, including the selected daily high-speed allowance. Once that allowance is used, the connection continues at reduced 2G speeds until the daily reset, which may affect activities such as video calls or large downloads. Check your device’s hotspot settings before departure.
The North Macedonia Unlimited eSIM has a 180-day pre-activation window, so you can purchase it well before your trip rather than waiting until the day you travel. The product page states that the plan can start upon arrival and describes its data usage as resetting every 24 hours. Before departure, follow the installation instructions supplied with your order and check the activation guidance so you understand when the plan begins counting its selected days. Keep your QR code and order details accessible during setup. Installing an eSIM and starting its service are not always the same step, so follow the product’s instructions carefully to avoid starting the plan earlier than intended.
